Hi Gurus,
my client is using many handling and Lifting equipment to support their maintenance process e.g. CRANES, Forklifts etc. These handling equipment are not owned by my client, instead the whole plant's maintenance has been outsourced to a third party vendor, who owns these handling equipment as well.
Now my client want to check the availability of these handling equipment during Planning and scheduling of maintenance Orders (2 months in advance) before releasing, to make sure that particular equipment would be available at that time. Here all such equipment is available for 8 Hrs per day (as per operator time). So we need to take care of capacity of such Equipment as well.
I am thinking to handle it by creating such Equipment as PRT. Now here, I've following Quarries-
--> Is it possible to create Equipment master for such equipment (owned by a third party and not a company's asset) into SAP PM ?
-- > If yes , how can I configure the availability check on these?
---> How to ensure that there should not be any capacity overloading while using such equipment as these are available for 8 Hrs/day?
-- > If not with PRT, how can I handle this alternatively?
